Product · Ways to work

One task. Multiple ways to work.

Task4Task is one marketplace, not several. A task can be paid or exchanged for a skill, done remotely or at a place, scheduled or urgent, and the two sides meet in two workspaces.

Specified Everything on this page is in the product specification. Example tasks are simulations.

What changed

Money is exchanged for the work. The price is agreed before work starts.

The task itself, what needs doing, stayed the same. These are not separate marketplaces: they are ways the same task can happen, and they combine.

Two workspaces

Two sides of the same task.

The same person can hire one day and work the next. Each side has a workspace built for what they are trying to do.

01 Workspace

Hiring

“I need someone to do something.”

  • Describe a task, with AI help
  • Receive and compare proposals

02 Workspace

Getting Work

“I want to find work I can do.”

  • Find tasks that fit your skills and area
  • Send proposals
  • Work under a guided contract
  • Build a reputation from finished work

Combinations

The ways combine.

Value and place are independent: every task is one of each. Choose a corner to see an example, and the states it passes through.

Urgent work

When it can’t wait, it goes to who’s nearby and free.

A dead battery or a burst pipe needs someone close, now. Three pieces make that work.

  1. 01Available NowWorkers switch it on when they can take urgent work nearby, and off when they can’t.
  2. 02Urgent instant requestsA hirer’s urgent request notifies nearby workers who have Available Now switched on.
  3. 03Browse who is availableThe hirer can also look through the available workers nearby, instead of waiting.
  4. Send an urgent request
